Rating Summary
Avatar: The Last Airbender is a generally well-paced action-adventure series with passable to good performances and a mostly entertaining story. Its attention to detail can sometimes be lacking, leaving fairly large plot holes, and it takes some license with its source material that fans will likely take exception with. Still, for the uninitiated, there are worse family programs to spend time watching together. If you can forgive a show in which swords can deflect fireballs in one shot and be safely blocked by unprotected forearms in the next, you might just like this.
