What a blessing it is, laughter. To be sure, God must love us, for why else would he bestow upon us such a simple gift that possesses so many benefits? Laughter releases endorphins and dopamine, reduces stress, and improves immunity, digestive, and cardiovascular functions. The best medicine, indeed, and Jim Breuer is the Doctor we need.
Jim Breuer: Country Boy Will Survive
Comedy has always been at the vanguard of culture, pushing back at its norms and institutions, providing a mirror for us to look at ourselves. As the Left’s funny bone has grown cancerous, replacing comedy with confirmation bias and overt activism, the role of intellectually honest comedians who still benefit from healthy curiosity and who are brave enough to poke the bear has never been more critical.
In Country Boy Will Survive, New York native Jim Breuer returns home to take aim at some of the most important issues of today, such as Americans’ growing frustration with the upside-down world in which we live.
No one could have blamed Breuer for taking it easy on the Left in a show whose audience was mostly comprised of New Yorkers. However, Jim comes right out of the gates with a burst of his signature frenetic energy and pig-hunting guns blazing. He wastes no time ripping into ridiculous modern gender ideology et al., but, like his fellow SNL alumnus Rob Schneider‘s most recent comedy special, Woke Up In America, Breuer doesn’t beat up the libs with their own stupidity.
Rather, he regularly cashes in on his NY credentials and makes sure that the audience knows that he was one of them and understands where they are coming from. As the thrust of his comedic stories takes shape, it’s clear that Breuer’s recent relocation to Florida has given him a new perspective on his city-boy bonafidés.
Breuer magically skewers sissy city liberals who fear guns more than they fear genital amputation. Yet, he offends no one. If anything, his combination of irrefutable observations and homespun tales all delivered with Breuer’s characteristic charm and copious guttural sound effects may have gotten through to a few of them.
The result is an hour and a half of tee hees, and full-on belly laughs that will leave you surfing for more Jim Breuer.

Opposite of woke. It’s popular slang that is short for based in reality.
